Aviso Investments Integration

Features: 


You can link multiple wealth management accounts associated with your Aviso client ID. Accounts that are available to link include Aviso Wealth; Qtrade Investor; and Qtrade Guided Portfolio.

Linked accounts show a consolidated view of your Aviso account activities all in one place, including:

  • Investment account balances

  • Recent transaction history

  • Account details, including current securities held and the value of those investments

  • You can also easily disconnect your Aviso accounts directly in online and mobile banking.

Note: Aviso accounts linked in digital banking are view-only – you will need to sign in to Aviso directly to interact with your investments.

Link accounts in 3 easy steps. Accounts are listed alphanumerically. 

Secure and convenient. Designed to give you secure, convenient access to your investment information – right alongside your everyday banking.

Ability to be redirected to Aviso website. You can access your accounts directly to make trades, open new investment accounts and complete actions related to your investments. Any changes made directly in Aviso will be reflected in digital banking. 

In Online Banking: 

  1. If you're using online banking, log in and go to ‘Accounts’.

  2. Select ‘Wealth Management Accounts’. 

  3. Select ‘Link Account’. 

    • Note: You will also see an option of 'Sign in to Aviso'. Sign in to Aviso will redirect you to the Aviso website where you can access your accounts directly to make trades, open new investment accounts and complete actions related to your investments. Any changes made directly in Aviso will be reflected in digital banking in a view-only format.

  4. Select the applicable Aviso wealth product (Aviso Wealth, Qtrade Investor or Qtrade Guided Portfolios). Once selected, you will complete a three-step process to link your Aviso accounts in digital banking.

  5. Enter the following mandatory details:
    Client ID# - found on Aviso Wealth statement. Tooltip: Find your Aviso Client ID - In the “Client ID” field, there is a small icon that indicates a tooltip. The tooltip will display a pop-up showing you where you can find your Aviso client ID on your Aviso statement.
    Last Name
    Postal Code
    Date of Birth - this is automatically populated

  6. Confirm the details of the information entered

  7. Click Confirm

  8. Enter the one-time password (OTP)

  9. Click Confirm

  10. Success! The wealth management is now linked. The account list will be updated. 


In Mobile App: 

  1. Log in to the mobile app

  2. Select 'Accounts'

  3. Tap ‘Link Account’

  4. Select the applicable wealth product 

  5. Enter the following mandatory details:
    Client ID# - found on Aviso Wealth statement
    Last Name
    Postal Code 

    Date of Birth - this is automatically populated

  6. Confirm the details of the information entered

  7. Tap Confirm

  8. Enter the one-time password (OTP)

  9. Tap Confirm

  10. Success! The wealth management is now linked. The account list will be updated. 

In Online Banking: 

  1. If you're using online banking, login and go to ‘Accounts’.

  2. Select ‘Wealth management accounts’. 

  3. Click the arrow to the right of the account to display account details. 

  4. The following details are displayed: 

    1. Account Details: 

      1. Account number

      2. Account type 

      3. as of 

      4. Current balance

      5. **security value = total market for all equities

      6. **total market value = the sum of current value and security value 

    2. Securities:

      1. Security name

      2. Symbol

      3. Quantity 

      4. Price

      5. Market Value 

      6. % holding 

  5. Wealth Management Account Details: Under ‘Wealth Management Account Details’, you will find each of your investment accounts with a balance summary at the top of the page. When you select an account to view, you will be shown details including account number and type, current balance, and a list of the securities held in that account.

  6. Wealth Management Account Transactions: Under ‘Wealth Management Account Transactions’, you will find a summary of recent transactions performed in your selected Aviso account, such as the purchase or sale of securities and date of these transactions, actives such as the receipt or reinvestment of dividends, and other historical information. 20 transactions are displayed per page, and you can filter transactions to find specific account data.

In Online Banking: 

  1. If you're using online banking, login and go to ‘Accounts’.

  2. Select ‘Wealth management accounts’. 

  3. Click the arrow to the right of the account to display account details. 

  4. Account details will be displayed. 

  5. Click on Transactions.

  6. Up to 20 transactions are displayed per page with date filtering options


  1. Login to the mobile app. 

  2. Select Accounts > Wealth management accounts

  3. Tap on the account

  4. You will see:

    1. Details - account details (as listed in section above) 

    2. Securities - a list of securities is displayed 

    3. History - transactions are displayed, and filtering options are available

You can choose to disconnect individual investment accounts or all Aviso accounts from your digital banking view directly in online and mobile banking.

Note: To reconnect accounts, you will need to repeat the three-step account linking process to reestablish a view of all accounts associated with your Aviso Client ID.

In Online Banking: 

  1. If you're using online banking, login and go to ‘Accounts’.

  2. Select ‘Wealth management accounts’.

  3. Locate the account to disconnect and click on the trash can.

  4. Click Yes, disconnect on the pop up. 

  5. Confirmation received on successfully disconnecting the account. 


In Mobile App: 

  1. Login to the mobile app

  2. Select Accounts > Wealth Management accounts

  3. Locate the account to disconnect

  4. Click on the kebob menu (⋮)

  5. Select disconnect 

  6. Click continue on the pop-up message 

  7. Success! The wealth management account was disconnected. 

Once you are signed in to digital banking, the account linking process only take a few minutes. After accounts are linked, they are immediately viewable in digital banking

As with all other types of three-step transactions on the platform, if you take too long to complete the flow, the digital banking session expires. You will be warned that the session is about to time-out and asked if you want to renew it or let it expire. If it is not renewed, you will be logged off. 
If you close the browser before successfully linking an account (i.e. before seeing the completion screen with the success message), the process will not be completed, and the account will not be linked. 

No, Aviso is only available for members with personal banking accounts.

Aviso is available on both online banking and the mobile app. You can complete the account linking process and view your accounts on your preferred digital banking channel.
